Classical violinist Nadja Salerno-Sonnenberg, Irish and country violinist Eileen Ivers, and Jazz violinist Regina Carter join Keith Lockhart and the Boston Pops for a night of fiddling.
The three merge styles to perform the world premiere of Interplay for Three Violins by Christopher Brubeck.

A true treat.
Old King Cole would've forgotten about his pipe and bowl.
It's fun hearing how differently the three approach the instrument.
Eileen seemed like she was freed from shackles when she launched into her celtic cadenza.
Nadja was game and having a good time.
Regina, meantime, is the Queen of Cool.
And as one of my favorite Rockabilly tunes "Make Like a Rock and Roll" puts it,
"What's this thing called a vye-oh-lin?"
